The tip came in around 9 p.m. Tuesday from the PA Attorney General’s Safe 2 Say Program concerning an overheard threat of violence toward the Ridge Road School, according to the Bedminster Township Police Department.
Safe 2 Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late, according to authorities.
Out of an abundance of caution, Bedminster Township police and UBCTS officials decided to hold classes virtually on Wednesday while the tip’s validity can be corroborated and further investigation can be completed, police said.
The Bedminster Township Police Department is working closely with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and Bucks County detectives to follow up on the threat.
